Reviews for T.C.D.C Early Learning Center
Applause for a job well done!
“Dear Toddler Center,
We would like to thank the entire staff for taking good care of JuJuan Cooper Jr. Our son had a hearing problem... We were amazed to learn Rico couldn't hear for the first 2 1/2 years of his life. Several other daycare centers told us our son was retarded and all types of horrible things which worried us about how we could help him with his speech and learning development.
We decided we would try just one more daycare and if things didn't work we wouldn't put him in anymore daycare centers. The wonderful part to this story is the Rico was already attending The Toddler Center before we knew of his hearing problem and no one ever treated him like he needed special help, like so many other Daycare centers!
We would like to personally thank his teacher's Ms. Cook & Ms. Perkins! We thank you because as parents we know our son is a handful. A special blessing goes out to you because the therapist told us that your teaching efforts and patience along with being in your class with older children was the best thing to ever happen to our son!
Ms. Edwards we would like to thank you too, keep up the good work!!!
Alonda Fortune and JuJuan Cooper Sr."
The following are excerpts from a letter that was sent to Ms. Nancy Dixon @ Consumer & Industry Services in Lansing,MI on behalf of The Toddler Center Daycare:
Dear Ms. Dixon,
..."The Toddler Center was brought to my attention when my former daycare closed without notice.....I was very hesitant to send my children to The Toddler center due to the fact that I was unable to research them prior to sending my children.... The one thing i remembered most when the doors opened was the smile and warm welcome of the "good morning", which has continued to this very day (2years later)!...I feel that the Toddler Center should be considered for the Govenor's Quality DayCare Award due to the many qualities they possess.... The staff is always pleasant and warm and where there is a child, there is also a staff member.. children are never left alone......Another unique aspect of the center is that they participate in various charity programs that benefit not only the families associated with the center but the community as a whole, such as Coats for Kids and COTS....The toddler Center has been able to maintain the majority of the same staff .....therefore children at The Toddler Center are able to receive a sense of security and warmth from staff due to the consistency and low turn over rate.......
Dear Mrs. Edwards and Staff:
I am writing to let you know how I am pleased with the care you have provided to my two children over the past years. Kamiah joined The Toddler Center when she was actually a toddler and she is now 6! .....your center is more than care-givers who watch over: you are an early learning institute also. You give the children in your care the skills they need to move onto the next level of education in their little lives..... and my newest son Keion has been with you since 6months and I had no problem leaving him with you because I knew he would be in the best care....he is now 21/2 and his new hurdle is potty training, I appreciate how you are working with us to master this.... you not only care for my children but for me as well,...you and your staff have been a joy and we consider you a part of our extended family. I wish you much continued success and blessings in all you do!
Sincerely, Valencia Boone
Dear Ms. Edwards:
When we were looking for Day Care for Aubrei, we did not know where to start. Then we found you. Sending Aubrei to The Toddler's Center was the best decision. The staff is so friendly and patient with the children and we can tell that Aubrei loves it there. There was a moment when Aubrei's Dad was ill and we informed you that we would have to take her out until our finances enabled us to send her again. Then one day, in Aubrei's folder there was this letter from Ms. Edwards explaining that she was "Passing a Blessing on to us". She waived payment to school for four weeks!!!! That was such a blessing because I knew that she enjoyed attending school.
Aubrei is five years old now and has been attending The Toddlers Center since the age of 1-1/2. Thank you to Ms. Lynn and Ms. Ellis for taking such good care of Aubrei. Thank you to Ms. Henry for taking your time with Aubrei and sending her home with work so that she can get better at it (she loves homework). Thank you to Ms. Edwards for being so nice and always smiling. Thank you to everyone for being genuine and nice and so special to not only Aubrei, but to ALL of the children that I see you interacting with on a daily basis.
We are now going to the next step and Aubrei is going to Kindergarten this fall. We are very excited and at the same time this is a bittersweet time for us. I wish that she could stay there. But Aubrei will be there for the summer!!!! So see you then...And keep up the GREAT WORK.
